How we choose our Tutors
We are highly selective about the tutors we work with. Every educator is chosen for both their academic depth and their ability to mentor students with care, clarity and integrity.
All Ocean & Tree tutors hold a strong academic background in their subject, have proven experience supporting students at their chosen age and exam level and demonstrate a calm, thoughtful teaching style that builds confidence and understanding, not pressure.
We expect our tutors to communicate clearly with both students and parents, valuing consistency and trust, ensuring they share our belief that education is about growth, not short-term results alone.
Beyond qualifications, we look for tutors who are reflective, empathetic and genuinely invested in helping young people develop independence, resilience and self-belief.
Every tutor completes a structured interview process, safeguarding checks, and on-boarding before working with families.
We continue to support and review our tutors to ensure the quality of teaching and care remains consistently high.
